From Hobby to Profession

A Little About Me

In 2012 after several failed attempts at finding a job in my field-Aviation Maintenance-I started taking online art classes.  I had one child married and in the Army, one ready to leave and join the Navy and one starting high school. I was ready to spend some time educating myself in a field that I have always wanted to belong to.

Over the years I have bought courses to watch at home, but I never seemed to be able to improve.  With the expansion of the internet and people sharing what they know on sites like YouTube I had plenty of choices. I came across a color mixing video that explained the color wheel beyond the basics of what I knew. I was hooked on the teaching style and overloaded with information.

With over 300 hours of classes completed with Master Artists Dennis & Nolan Clark I feel ready to take the plunge and call myself an artist.

I am forever grateful to Dennis and Nolan from the Paint Basket for their lessons and their mentoring.
